Sen. Jim Hendren spoke with Poppy Harlow on CNN’s OutFront about the state of today’s politics and how Common Ground Arkansas will work to offer solutions here at home. He previously announced his decision to serve Arkansas as an Independent, along with the formation of Common Ground Arkansas, on Feb. 18.
“The state of politics has gotten so partisan now that there’s a tremendous resistance to people working across the aisle.”
“I believe there is a huge gap in the middle. There are so many people who do not have a political home right now, including my four adult children, which has been a big factor in my decision. … I believe it is important to give those people a home. That’s what Common Ground Arkansas is going to be about.”
