I first want to thank you for your interest in and support of Common Ground Arkansas. I launched Common Ground Arkansas when I looked around and didn’t recognize our state.
Our two-party system is broken. The discourse and division have grown to be too great. It’s preventing us from working together as a state or as a people.
It’s time we—legislators, politicians, leaders, business owners, teachers, families, neighbors, friends, all of us—move forward by putting people over politics.
It’s time to get to work.
We have exciting updates to share about Common Ground Arkansas and the work we are doing.
We’re excited for the future. We have a lot of work to do and we can’t do it without you.
Stay in touch as we announce more in the coming days and weeks.
All the best,
What we’re working on
Strategy and Legal
We’re in the process of formally establishing the organization. Our team is engaging advisors to help bring our mission to life and steer our strategy.
We have appointed our Executive Director, Misty Orpin, whose experience in statewide organizing make her the leader we need to build this movement.
Listening to You
We’re in the early stages of planning town halls and listening sessions to engage with broad groups of Arkansans to hear their needs and ideas.
Our first statewide media event is being finalized and will take place soon after I finish my job working for the people of Arkansas in this legislative session. More to come on the details for this event.
