An Act to modify the insurance requirements of a scooter-share operator under the electric motorized scooter act; And for other purposes.

Summary

What it does

This bill would significantly reduce the amount of insurance that scooter-share operators have to carry. The bill would reduce the amount of required commercial general liability insurance from $1 million down to $250,000 per occurrence and from $5 million to $250,000 aggregate.

It would also reduce required umbrella or excess liability coverage from $5 million to $250,000.
