An Act to establish the Right to Start Pilot Program for Healthcare Portability; To encourage entrepreneur health insurance portability and tax support; And for other purposes.

Summary

What it does

This bill would create a new program to enable entrepreneurs to apply for health insurance through a statewide program.

The Insurance commissioner would be tasked with developing rules for the program that will “provide access to a statewide group health insurance benefits and tax support for an entrepreneuer.”

Entrepreneurs would be eligible for the program only for the first 3 years after they launch their new business.
