Original Title
To amend the Arkansas Renewable Energy Development Act of 2001; and to provide requirements for paying a residential net-metering customer for net excess generation
Summary
What it does
This bill would give additional options to residential customers who produce more energy than they use and provide energy back to the energy grid (usually by solar). It requires electric utilities to pay residential customers at the retail rate per kilowatt for excess generation and allows customers to cash out at the wholesale rate once every six months either as a credit on their bill or as a direct payment, whichever the customer chooses.
