An Act for the Department of Public Safety-Divison of Emergency Management appropriation for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

Summary

What it does

The bill funds the Department of Public Safety: $4.5 million for operations from state funds, $13.2 million from federal funds. It appropriates $104.2 million in federal money and $639,000 in state funds for disaster relief grants. $778,000 is provided for hazardous materials management and grants, $40,000 for radiological response grants, and $200,000 for immediate disaster response. $3 million is appropriated for the 911 Rural Enhancement Program and $75 million for costs related to enhancing or operating 911 services. $17.4 million will go to the Arkansas Wireless Information Network and $1.8 million for levee mitigation.
