Original Title
To amend laws concerning concealed carry permits; and to authorize an individual who has sought voluntary mental health treatment to obtain a concealed carry permit after a certain time period.
Summary
What it does
This bill opens up pathways for people who previously sought mental health treatment at a mental health institution or facility to obtain a concealed carry permit. Under current law, that pathway is only open to veterans. This would open it up to anyone who has completed the same requirements (been at least 2 years since completing treatment and being ajudged mentally fit by a court, among others).
