Sen. Jim Hendren spoke with Joe Scarborough on MSNBC’s Morning Joe about his decision in mid-February to serve Arkansas as an Independent rather than a Republican. The discussion centered on his two decades of military service and the duty his feels to our country and its allies.
“As a guy who spent 25 years in the military, overthrowing free and fair elections is something that goes down hard with me.”
Both Sen. Hendren and his eldest son served in Iraq, and Sen. Hendren spoke out against the U.S. abandonment of the Kurds, who fought and bled alongside U.S. troops.
