Full Bill Title

An act to amend penalties for offenses involving fentanyl; To enhance sentences for certain offenses involving fentanyl; And for other purposes.

Summary

What it does

This bill enhance the penalties for certain fentanyl-related offenses. It would require that anyone convicted of delivering, manufacturing, or trafficking of fentanyl must be sentenced to

  • At least 30 years in prison; or
  • Life in prison with eligibility for parole no sooner than 30 years if fentanyl caused the death of the receiver
